Water-resistant resin

Ultra-Guard(TM) from National Starch & Chemical (Bridgewater, NJ) is a water-resistant resin for corrugated board that is said to be compatible with all starches and does not shock the adhesive system upon addition or use.

Ultra-Guard possesses a 0.1% maximum level of free formaldehyde and is designed to lower total VOCs in the plant. Its red color permits easy identification of the water-resistant adhesive.
