Chevron Phillips Chemical has introduced K-Resin® XK44 styrene butadiene copolymer, designed specifically for rigid packaging applications in the medical, electronic, personal care, and consumer markets.

The tough copolymer offers low-stress whitening in blends with other styrenics and is said to be easier to process in comparison to PET or PVC. Featuring a low-melt temperature of 350º-425º and requiring no crystallization, resin is also non-hygroscopic, eliminating the need for drying. High-clarity resin can be used alone or blended with other polymers.
