Injection-molding resin

BASF (Mount Olive, NJ) has introduced a medium-impact polystyrene (MIPS) resin that offers over 25% improved gloss versus nor-mal-finish MIPS.

PS 3426 is suited for cosmetics applications such as double-walled jars. Meets standard requirements for MIPS packaging says the company including impact-resistance and an absence of chemical reactions with product.
