Eastman Chemical Company: New PE families
Eastman Chemical (Kingsport, TN) has introduced two new families of PEs from the company’s Energx technology. One family of polymers combines good moisture vapor and high oxygen transmission rates with high impact and tear strength.
These resins are claimed to have better properties than metallocene PEs. To replace ULDPEs the other family of resins is designed for stand-up pouches and heavy-duty shipping sacks. These resins provide good toughness stiffness and sealing characteristics.
