Christian Book Distributors: Packaging books for e-commerce ordersAfter orders are placed onto corrugated blanks, a scanner reads the bar code on the shipping manifest, placed on top.
The controller uses that data to fetch the shipping address from the plant computer and deliver that information to the label printer. Meanwhile the blank is folded over via a series of pusher arms before passing under the labeler. Next the package enters a turret that tightens down the corrugated around the book order. Hot melt adhesive is applied to the remaining flap and the package enters a series of compression belts that results in a final package that completely immobilizes the product.
