USDA-accepted checkweigher

The new USDA-accepted Cornerstone® SA™ checkweigher from Mettler-Toledo Hi-Speed is designed for heavy-washdown applications, with the system’s hygienic design and full stainless-steel construction built to withstand the harsh environments associated with products such as cheese blocks, ice cream bars, milk, and raw and processed meat.

The system is designed for COP or CIP for cleaning to a microbiological level. All nonproduct areas are designed to eliminate debris build-up and potential bacterial reservoirs; product contact areas are corrosion-resistant, nontoxic, and nonabsorbent. Fully customizable for easy integration into production lines, the checkweigher delivers accuracies for up to 13 lb for reduced product giveaway. The system can also be integrated with a Mettler-Toledo Safeline metal detector. A 15-in. color touchscreen controller makes product setup and changeover fast and simple, and the easy-clean snap-out conveyors and quick-disconnect servomotors ease belt changeovers, cleaning, and maintenance.
