Toray Plastics (America): OPP film
New 50-ga PCF, a metallized OPP film from Toray Plastics (North Kingstown, RI), provides a "drop-in" alternative to foil in multi-layer barrier extrusion laminations.
Packages are said to retain a better appearance with none of the creasing or deadfold associated with foil. PCF also offers puncture-resistance and enhanced metal detection. Typical applications for PCF are dry-mix packages such as cocoa and spice pouches liquid pouches for salad dressings and shampoo and bag-in-box liners.
