High-performance x-ray

Thermo Fisher Scientific has introduced the Thermo Scientific POWERx™, a new line of high-performance x-ray systems for the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries.

The line consists of 16 models that are collectively capable of inspecting products in upright and horizontal package orientations ranging from small pharmaceutical glass vials to large, multipackage cases. Models use high-resolution detectors and image analysis software to achieve high sensitivity and low false reject rates. Virtual Contaminant Testing software is available to simulate various types, sizes, and positions of contaminants to quickly determine how to achieve ultimate performance in each application.
