M&O Perry Industries' (Corona, CA) latest development in the Monobloc® series is a system designed for small-volume biotech applications, such as the filling of DNA-related products.

It automatically feeds a plastic tube with a leashed screw cap then fills it and applies a cap. A cam-operated leash-folding mechanism locates the cap and folds the leash in half so that a rotating seating plunger can pre-thread the cap onto the tube. Tubes then advance to a final torquing station. Both liquids and powders can be handled at speeds to 100 containers/min.
