Automated Packaging Systems: Integrated weigh scale and bag packaging system
Specifically designed for fresh and frozen food packaging, Automated Packaging Systems has teamed with BBC Technologies to develop a new high-productivity bag packaging solution that incorporates an automated weigh scale from BBC Technologies and the FAS SPrint Revolution bagger from Automated Packaging Systems for a packaging solution that improves productivity and reduces labor costs.
BBC Technologies designs and manufactures food processing equipment for sorting, cleaning, weighing, and packaging fresh produce, with emphasis on small, soft, and delicate products, including blueberries, cherries, small tomatoes, cranberries, and other fruit. Its equipment provides vision sorting, soft sorting, weighing, cleaning, filling, and turnkey solutions.
Automated Packaging Systems manufactures the SidePouch bag packaging systems, which are ergonomically designed for high-productivity food packaging. A horizontal row of pre-opened bags are automatically queued for loading products directly into the bag from the integrated scale, then each bag is automatically sealed and transferred to a packing area.
Automated Packaging Systems’ SidePouch bags are available in a wide range of sizes and with a variety of special features, such as reclosable zippers, resealable flaps, reinforced headers, easy-open perforations, tamper-evident seals, and stand-up pouch. These system-matched bags come in several different materials that can be pre-printed with high-resolution graphics in up to 10 colors, text and barcodes – making them suitable for retail and wholesale food applications.
