BD recently entered the pharmaceutical industry with a new line of generic prefilled injectable products called BD Simplist. One of the first two drugs launched is BD Simplist™ Metoclopramide Injection, USP. Both its outer package and the inner container are printed with a 2D barcode and with the NDC, serial number, lot number, and expiration date "human readable."

Vertical sealing system

Model VCBS-1/4T-6"x5' continuous band sealer is from All Packaging Machinery (Ronkonkoma, NY). It has a lower-speed conveyor to accommodate light to heavy-duty applications.

Operates at speeds to 45'/min. USDA-approved for medical and pharmaceutical applications. It can seal and trim a range of materials including films such as PP PE Tyvek(TM) plastic-coated paper and foil. No-tool changeovers are achieved using hand cranks.
