Five-gal PET bottles

Sterling Containers (San Jose, CA), offers 5-gal PET bottles for home delivered drinking water. The injection stretch/blow-molded bottles use an Eastman resin.

Besides exceptional clarity Sterling says PET offers greater leak and impact resistance compared to polycarbonate. The bottles are returnable and reusable. Sterling is the result of a joint venture between Portola Packaging and Mexico-based Kimex.
