Looking for a packaging consultant? Search a database of consultants at www.packagingconsultants.

org. The Institute of Packaging Professionals has Web-enabled its Directory of Packaging Consultants permitting users to search nearly 100 consultants not only by region but by industry (beverage chemical etc.) package format (bags blisters cans etc.) process (aseptic blow molding clean room packaging etc.) and service (computer-aided graphics display packaging design etc.). A PDF version of the directory can also be downloaded from the site at no charge. It can also be purchased in the traditional book format at the IoPP bookstore for $25.

Hedwin Corp. (Baltimore MD) has launched an e-commerce site specifically for its pail and drum liners at www.mroliners.com. Visitors can purchase the company’s standard range of liners with a credit card or they can use the site to buy through a local distributor.

Triangle Package Machinery Co. (Chicago IL) has re-designed its Web site at www.

trianglepackage.com with easy-to-use drop-down menus. Users can go directly to the desired Web page by choosing a pull-down menu for machine type (vf/f/s baggers pouchers scales cartoners etc.) or by application (poultry candy cereal pasta etc.). Vistors can also request an “e-quote” by filling out a form with information such as maximum piece size weights/counts bag sizes film types carton sizes speeds etc.
