From Kuka Robotics comes a new space-saving packaging robot suitable for case packing, stacking, and material loading. The KR 30 HA takes up 35% less floor space than its predecessor, the KR 30/2, yet its working envelope is almost 15% larger.
This attractive, but otherwise unassuming shrink-wrapped tray introduced in early 2003 is packed with far more than chicken. For Tyson Foods, Springdale, AR, it represents enhanced category management--and the future of case-ready meat.
Pearson’s Model N430T case sealer is a high-speed, automatic machine for sealing different-sized cases received randomly. Sealing with p-s tape at speeds to 30 cases/min, sealer is designed for applications where random cases need to be combined into 1 line and sealed, such as case-ready meat, fulfillment operations, and food packaging.
Installed about a year ago as a replacement was a Model 127SL case/tray packer from S.V. Dice. Its rated speed is 35 cases or trays/min, though currently Gavi–a typically runs in the range of 25/min. After tray blanks are picked and erected and collated cans are pushed onto them, filled trays are discharged toward the shrink wrap system.
Compact (60"Lx52"W), fast (up to 200 ppm), and flexible, the 400 Series of case packers from Fallas (Waco, TX) provides gravity-fed or robotic case packaging, lay-flat, or stand-up product configuration, and inline or right angle infeed.
