The Cermex (Norcross, GA) SB27 side-loading case packer installed recently at a major hair care manufacturer runs at speeds to 7.5 cases/min. Three-count bundles of cartoned hair color are collated layer by layer and then transferred sideways into the RSC.
Case flaps are pre-opened by a retractable loading funnel. A set of folding guides is activated and the case is sealed with hot melt.
