Thermal transfer printer
Dalemark's (Lakewood, NJ) Coditherm direct thermal transfer printer uses a thermal ribbon to print directly on corrugated, chipboard, blister cards, or wood, without the use of self-adhesive labels, inks or solvents.
The thermal head transfers images to an inked receptor ribbon which is brought in close proximity to the printing area. A pad then presses the ribbon against the container producing high-resolution images. The printer can handle uneven or nonflexible surfaces. Can print up to 40 ft/min continually or 60 cycles/min intermittently. Maximum printing area is 7 3/4" x 4".
