Paired vf/f/s equipment 'brews' foodservice packs (sidebar)
In October Mother Parker’s Tea & Coffee celebrated the grand opening of its fifth North American facility in Forth Worth TX. The 100 sq’ plant has been in operation since June according to engineering manager Manny Costa.
He says the Texas plant is equipped with at least five vertical form/fill/seal machines from Triangle Package Machinery. The company’s Web site www.mother-parkers.com, reports that the facility includes “state-of-the-art roasting grinding packing production control and quality control operations” and can “accommodate significant expansion in the future.”
The tea and coffee maker sees Texas as a “high-growth area” in the country. Fort Worth will serve as a transportation hub for outbound manufactured products and represents a “$25-million commitment” says company co-CEO Paul Higgins Jr. Mother Parker’s sells coffee and tea to retail grocers and convenience stores office coffee and vending distributors restaurants fast-food and doughnut chains and to airlines.
