Selecting the right packaging machinery is a crucial decision in the success of any product, particularly in the food industry. At Kliklok-Woodman, we understand this. We work with our customers to ensure they choose equipment that suits their current and future production needs and requirements. That’s one of the reasons KW has been at the forefront of food packaging technology for more than 65 years.
Kliklok-Woodman is able to anticipate the changing needs of our customers because our expertise is focused on the core industries we have served for so many years: bakery, snack foods, frozen/prepared foods, cereal and industries requiring related technologies. Understanding the industries we serve helps us keep you one step ahead of today’s evolving marketplace.
For almost seven decades Kliklok-Woodman has grown from respected pioneer to exceptional innovator in the packaging machinery industry. Why? Simple: we continuously invest considerable effort and resources to ensure that our packaging machinery remains the number one choice for food producers worldwide.
KW’s commitment to state-of-the-art cartoning began more than 65 years ago when our designers invented the ubiquitous “klik-lok” folding corner locks and ushered in a new era of reliable, inexpensive and easy-to-load packaging. Born of this innovation was the KF topload carton former, a machine whose design has proven so durable that even early models are still operational – and the modern KF outsells all of Kliklok’s other cartoning machines.
In the 1990s Kliklok reset the standards again with the introduction of the Vari-Right tri-seal carton closer. The Vari-Right features KW’s patented “pop-up lugs” and innovative variable pitch technology, which combines the positive control of a lugged cartoner with the random timing of a belt-driven system. Variable pitch has been incorporated into three other carton closers, including the 200-cartons-per-minute Vari-Straight.
Kliklok-Woodman practically invented topload cartoning, but our expertise in endload cartoning is exemplified by our patented rotary carton feeder, the fastest, most positive in the industry. The design has graced our earliest high-speed endload cartoners, our current 325-cpm CELOX, and will be on our newest endload machine, due for introduction at Pack Expo 2012. SEE THE INNOVATION…
