JLS appoints Russ Martin president

JLS Automation, provider of robotic-based automation solutions, has announced the addition of Russ Martin as President/COO, taking over these duties from Craig Souser, who remains as Chairman/CEO of JLS.

Martin has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech and a Masters in Business from the Darden School at the University of Virginia.  In addition, Martin brings many years of experience in senior management and leadership of capital equipment companies with specific experience in the food segment.

According to Souser, “We are fortunate to be going through a period of rapid growth which we are confident has no end in sight. We felt it was important to have the company properly structured to support the business that we are fortunate enough to be enjoying. Russ brings another perspective and significant insight into the areas where we need to bolster the company going forward.”

Martin added “I have been privileged to serve on JLS' Board of Directors for the last five months, so I've been able to see the significant accomplishments the company has made, meet and work with key employees, and preview the innovative products that are in the pipeline. I am excited about joining this talented team and helping JLS become the leader in automation solutions for the food industry."
