Intelligrated Expands Sales Engineering Team for its N.J.-based Eastern Regional Operations
Intelligrated®, a leading North American-owned automated material handling solutions provider, announces the recent appointment of John Schmidt to the position of sales engineer for the company’s N.J.-based eastern regional operations.
Schmidt is responsible for developing the company’s distribution and fulfillment business in New Jersey and the five boroughs of New York. He is also responsible for raising Intelligrated’s business profile in the region. Schmidt reports directly to Steve Combs, sales supervisor, Intelligrated Eastern Operations.
Prior to joining Intelligrated, Schmidt gained 15 years of experience working as a representative for JHS Sales and as a regional sales manager for both Douglas Machine and Langen Packaging Group. He earned his degree in mechanical engineering at Raritan Valley College, N.J.
“My experience has taught me how to quickly develop customer relationships and target strategic growth opportunities,” said Schmidt. “This experience, along with my familiarity with the region, adds value to the Intelligrated distribution and order fulfillment operations.”
Intelligrated continues to expand its engineering, customer service and R&D staffing and testing facilities. The company added 565 new employees in 2011, and plans to add 300 more in 2012.
