The ATEX™ (Automatic Tool Exchange) system from SCA Consumer Packaging was developed in response to studies indicating that the manual heat plate changeover exchange process is the riskiest of all processes involved in running heat sealing equipment.
By
ATEX uses a combination of transfer trays and automatic locking/unlocking mechanisms to make the entire process safer and more operator-friendly. Operator simply pushes the load/unload button to activate heat plate transfer process.
