Servo-module technology
NEW FROM PACK EXPO LAS VEGAS: Elau’s PacDrive Intelligent Servo Module technology allows a collaborative, multi-vendor systems approach on packaging lines by replacing conventional servo motors, drives and cabling with a plug-and-play platform for more efficient connectivity, commissioning, changeovers and reconfiguration.
Electrical cabinet size and cable runs are reduced because there are no
separate drives to mount in the cabinet. One cable connects the
cabinet to a series of machine-mounted distribution modules instead of
two cables for each servo drive, which eliminates 31 long cable runs in
a typical 16-axis packaging system. Installation and maintenance are
simplified with snap-fit quick-connect cable terminations, LED status
indicators on distribution modules and servo modules, single cables
connection servo modules, and IP 65-rated machine-mounted modules that
do not require enclosures, conduit or cable trays.
