Cognex has added the In-Sight 5400C color vision sensor (shown) and the In-Sight 5401 high-resolution model to its 5000 Series of industrial-grade vision sensors.

The 5400C is designed to perform a wide range of color inspection tasks in a number of major industries including food and beverage. The 5401 is a high-resolution (1024x768) version of the 5100 for high-accuracy gauging applications requiring inspection of small objects. Available this month both units are self-contained industrial-grade vision sensors meeting ratings for dust and washdown protection.
