Controller for seamers
Hyde Park Electronics (Dayton, OH) has designed a controller for high-speed can seamers with cover feed mechanisms that are actuated by a spring return, either solenoid or air.
Model MC502 No Can/No Cover Controller activates the cover-feed mechanism at the precise time by monitoring input pulses from a can-body-infeed sensor and a synchronized timing sensor. This compensates for any mechanical lag time and allows the seamer to operate at its full capacity.
