IDMax, from Cognex, is designed for Direct Part Mark Identification (DPMI), said to be a fast-emerging segment of the industrial ID market that involves directly marking parts with permanent 2D data-matrix codes, then reliably reading those codes throughout the production process.
Based on the company’s patented PatMax® technology the software is available on industrial-grade Cognex In-Sight® 5100 5400 and 3400 vision sensors.
