Barcode readers for 1-D oriented barcode reading

Suitable for mounting in very tight spaces on production lines and in machinery, the DataMan 50L is equipped with Hotbars, a proprietary image analysis technology that is said to deliver the highest read rates in the industry.

The DataMan 50L improves read rates, especially if barcodes are printed on reflective or pliable surfaces, or on damaged barcodes. It can successfully replace laser scanners in complex barcode reading applications, like multi-sided scanning. And it delivers read rates that can surpass 99%, according to the company.

The DataMan 50L features: Hotbars, which provides high read rates of 1-D linear barcodes, including those that are damaged, distorted, blurred, scratched, low height; or low contrast; the ability to analyze “no reads” by letting the user see what the reader sees, either live on a monitor or through image archiving; no moving parts that can become worn out and require replacement.

The DataMan 50L features a three-position lens and an integrated aimer for easy setup at different working distances. The incredibly small form factor enables the reader to integrate into virtually any new or existing installation.
