Panasonic Electric Works has introduced an addition to its FPSigma ultra-compact PLC series with more advanced features to support more complex controls.
The FPSigma V3 PLC is just 30 mm W x 90 mm H x 60 mm D, but it comes equipped with RISC base processor operating at 0.32 usec/basic instruction. Features include ultra-fast floating point calculation, built-in double axes of motion with linear/circular interpolation, easy PID instruction that supports as many as 24 loops, and 4 channels of built-in high-speed counters. Supports as many as 3 serial ports configurable for Modbus RTU, PLC to PLC networking, MEWTOCOL, and General Purpose.
