Balluff's (Florence, KY) new 56-page color reference manual discusses the operating principles and applications of its magnetostrictive BTL linear transducer.
The entire product line is detailed including interface cards and setpoint controllers. The BTL replaces the metal contact with a "floating" magnet to achieve noncontact positioning.
