Formula IMC/S multi-packing cartoner from Klockner Bartelt (Sarasota, FL) is the first intermittent-motion, multi-axis cartoner to have independent servo drives performing all major functions, says the manufacturer.
Capable of multi-component packing of more than 600 products/min and up to 65 sleeve-type cartons or trays/min, the modular system is suitable for confectionery, pharmaceutical products, bakery and medical devices. Its servo drives, by Indramat, have SERCOS-interface fiberoptic controls that increase reliability, reduce wear and minimize noise. High-speed bar turner is standard.Learn about packaging innovation at The Packaging Conference in Orlando, February 3-5, 2014
