R.A. Jones (Covington, KY) has completed the first of a new series of form/fill/seal machines designed to meet full ISO metric standards. Developed from the company's Pouch King model, the PK4000 has linear web speeds of 100 m (328')/min, and can run at speeds to 1곚 sachets/min, using 80 mm (3.2") wide sachets.
Mechanical drives have been replaced with servo motors permitting a redesign of various components to simplify the production line and increase speeds.
