Pack ML support

The Electric Drives and Controls Div. of Bosch Rexroth (Hoffman Estates, IL) now supports the PackML state model via a software module. Developed in close cooperation with the OMAC for Packaging Workgroup, this software module is designed to reduce commissioning time and present a single interface to operators of various packaging machinery.

An animated diagram showing the various machine states arranged in a flow diagram is key to the PackML state model. States are clearly labeled and operate in the same manner regardless of the machine type showing the status of the machine when it is stopped running or waiting for material for example. This allows servo-controlled machines to operate with the same clear user interface as mechanical machines.
