Multi-axis drive systems

Rockwell Automation (Milwaukee, WI) has released the Allen-Bradley 1394 multi-axis drive systems with a SERCOS fiber-optic interface for use with Control– Logix PLC with em-bedded motion.

The 1394 system and ControlLogix controller allows users to control more axes at a lower cost simplify interconnection and improve open-system integration according to the company. System will support up to 8 axes from a single-motion module.
