Bosch Rexroth Electric Drives and Controls Div. has come out with a new packaging-specific brochure that includes a graphical depiction of the three generations of servo-driven packaging machinery.
Generation One shows a mechanical line shaft with cams sprockets and chains. Generation Two shows a hybrid machine with some mechanical drivetrain parts in addition to a few servos. Generation Three shows a machine built from the ground up around servo technology promising 50% fewer mechanical parts more flexibility and the most automated changeover. The brochure also shows the company’s technologies applied in filling cartoning bagging flow-wrapping case-packing and palletizing applications.
