Graphic Packaging Intl.: Rotary inserter
Minnesota Automation (Crosby, MN) has developed a patented, six-arm Servo Synchronous Rotary (SSR) Inserter for random product-feed applications. This machine synchronizes placement with the product and matches the insert placing speed to the linear speed of the carton or web to minimize skewing.
It runs up to 600 placements/min with an accuracy of ±1/16" depending on product characteristics. Products can range in size from 2" x 2" to 9.375" x 10.5".
