EAS packet placer
In a collaboration with Sensormatic Electronics (Deerfield Beach, FL), George Gordon Associates (Nashua, NH) has developed a new machine that places elect-ronic ar-ticle surveilance (EAS) labels or "packets" inside rigid containers.
The PPS-250EAS Packet Placing System applies labels directly into a container at speeds to 150 cycles/min. It employs a stepper motor and an electric eye to mark the frequency of a continuous stream of EAS labels. It then cuts and places the label in a predetermined spot.
