Machines in the 880 series of case palletizers from Alvey (St. Louis, MO) employ shaft-mounted drives to reduce the number of sprockets, chains, belts and takeups for such primary devices as the row pusher, apron and hoist.
This reduction in moving parts helps bring about greater reliability than in previous lines. For accurate palletizing of unstable packages or shrink wrap trays as small as 6" x 4" x 2" and as large as 27" diagonal x 23" H at speeds to 65/min.
