Beckhoff Automation has introduced TwinCAT 2.10, a revised software version updated to unite PC-based PLC and motion control with next-generation Ethernet.

Software has functions for scanning hardware connected to systems via the company’s high-speed deterministic EtherCAT as well as Profibus CANopen DeviceNet Sercos real-time Ethernet and Lightbus. Said to provide fast easy diagnostics by comparing networks to system configurations and identifying what hardware is physically present.
