Rotary sleeve labelers

Krones (Franklin, WI) has developed two new automatic rotary sleeve-labeling machines for speeds to 700 bottles/min. The Krones Stretchmatic handles stretchable sleeve films for the cylindrical or only slightly conical portions of the bottle.

The Krones Sleevematic applies sleeve films that are then shrunk onto the bottle contours and can also provide tamper-evidence in the neck region. Both machines rely on a "fitting fork" to pull labels onto bottles. This design obviates the need for a vacuum device to open up the sleeve film and thus does not require an additional transfer unit.
