Model E6C-N multiple rotation encoder from Omron (Schaumburg, IL) is said to offer several time-saving, ease-of-use features for motion control applications on packaging equipment or conveyors.
Encoder retains origin point so that it doesn't need to be reset at power-up. It also remembers cumulative position as it is turned more than two rotations while keeping track of positioning and number of rotations.
