New BL20 xStart motor starter modules from Turck allow 3-phase motor control to be connected to the same rack as standard I/O.

Modules are mounted directly next to each other and are controlled by the same gateway, allowing motors to be controlled via DeviceNet, Profibus®-DP, or CANopen fieldbus protocols. Motor starters contain a base and power module and are available in direct online and reversing (with and without trip indication) versions. Module's base contains the I/O and communication electronics and can be configured to allow use of power modules of various ratings.
