Micro AC inverter

Baldor Electric (Fort Smith, AR) has introduced the Series 5 Open Chassis micro inverter, a low-cost AC inverter suitable for applications requiring variable or constant torque horsepower.

It's available in 1/2 and 1 hp rating for 115V or 230V output. Design characteristics include a microprocessor-controlled output acceleration/deceleration rate adjustment controlled reversing adjustable current limit and an adjustable slip compensation.
