Cognex has announced new features that expand the power and capability of its DataMan™ 100 family of image-based ID readers.

New lens accessories provide magnification flexibility to optimize reading performance in a variety of applications. A new super high-density lens kit allows reading of tiny codes with characters as small as 2 mil. Also, the new C-mount lens adapter further extends the range of lenses that can be used. Readers also support an expanded list of 1-D and 2-D symbologies, including PharmaCode, Reduced Space Symbology, Composite Symbology PDF417 and MicroPDF, and the most popular postal codes.
