High-speed printer/applicator

The Label-Aire Model 2138-Series D high-speed printer/applicator from Weber Marking Systems (Arlington Heights, IL) produces p-s labels ranging in size from 0.75" x 0.5" to 4.65" x 10" at a rate of 10"/sec.

Prints text bar codes and graphics at 203 dpi. It can blow or tamp-blow labels onto tops bottoms or sides of a package with a ±0.03" accuracy.

The system combines a label applicator with a high-speed Datamax thermal/thermal-transfer printer for consistent application of labels on demand. The new printer/applicator is available with an optional power unwind and is compatible with Weber's exclusive print/apply software.
