A new coextruded, heat-sealable pouch from Curwood (Oshkosh, WI) was developed to provide meat processors with improved puncture-resistant, high-barrier packaging for primals and sub-primals.
Available in 8" x 24" and 171/2" x 42" sizes the Absolute Boneguard Protection pouch features a seven-layer coextrusion including nylon EVOH and PE. Made in thicknesses of 5 to 8 mils with a 3-mil sealing header the ABP pouch can be vacuum-sealed on either standard or rotary chamber machines.
