Automatic depalletizer

Whallon's (Royal Center, IN) automatic continuous-flow depalletizer moves cans to conveyors at speeds of more than 8 layers/min. Instead of the magnet head lowering to the pallet, the pallet load is lifted to a rubber belt conveyor that covers the magnet head.

As the belt indexes off the magnetized area the cans are dropped onto an adjacent table or conveyor to continue downstream.
