Weighing all the buying factors

If you’re on a buying team assessing options for outsourcing packaging services, Brian Wagner, vice president at Packaging & Technology Integrated Solutions, recommends that any decisions take into account the impact of private-label’s growth on production capacity.
Wagner suggests that service-buying teams ask the following questions as part of the qualifying process:
1. How much production capacity do you need?
2. Who is your competition for that capacity?
3. If you purchase capacity from competitors, what are the implications?
