Retired NBA star Larry Johnson landed a big customer in C&S Wholesale Grocers with his latest drink venture, Grand Ma Ma’s Sweet Southern Tea. Johnson, known for years as “Grandmama” in movie and TV cameos and a Converse footwear-ad deal, is co-owner of the Las Vegas-based Hall of Fame Beverages (www.halloffamebeverages.com).

As the face behind the label (and under the wig), Johnson tapped Tampa Bay CoPack (www.tampabaycopack.com) of Dade City, FL, for bottling and bag-in-box packages. Tampa Bay CoPack specializes in beverage co-packing, warehousing, fulfillment, distribution and related services.

C&S, based in Keene, NH, is a privately held company with 3,900 stores from 50 distribution centers in 11 states generating estimated sales of $20 billion.
