The BEL 150/505g4ss machine offers a washdown protected stainless steel system with corrosion-resistant, reduced-wear parts in an easy to operate compact design. It’s ideal for food and beverage plants needing a cost-effective, low maintenance case former and sealer system.
The Enhanced Speed Option delivers an elegant solution for increased case output that is ideal for batch runs of smaller cases at higher speeds. The new Wexxar WF30H model provides an optional high-speed mode that allows operators to adjust forming and sealing for optimum, faster output on different case sizes.
Wexxar/BEL Auto Adjust technology automates major adjustments and makes for faster machine setup and changeover. Auto Adjust is now available on Wexxar/BEL’s popular BEL 290 case sealer. Booth # N-4006
The WFPS 1252 case former/packing/case sealing system shown in the video, makes use of Wexxar's patented Pin & Dome case opening technology and accepts both left-hand oriented and right-hand oriented cases, so one machine can do the work of two. It also provides a tool-free changeover in less than five minutes — improving flexibility and increasing through-put.
The BEL 505 from Wexxar/BEL is a semi-automatic case erector and pack station. It is extremely compact and designed specifically for application on manual case packing lines. When connected to any BEL case sealer, it enables one person to form, pack and seal corrugated cases in a single operation.
The Dekka tape heads are simple to install and easily mounted. These precision constructed, high-quality stainless-steel tape heads use modern laser cutting technology and are highly finished for appearance and corrosion resistance.
Wexxar Packaging's fully automatic WF10 case erector allows case packers to form right-handed and left-handed cases on the same machine. This omni-handed feature makes the WF10 particularly useful for customers who pack a variety of cases with different printing orientations, such as contract packagers and others which want flexibility without the cost of purchasing specific handed equipment. The WF10 also incorporates the same features that earned the WF20 and WF30 accolades for ease of use and case forming quality. Wexxar Packaging is a division of Pro Mach, Inc.
A company can build the fastest dials and wheels in the industry, but the real test of changeover speed is if those speeds can be attained by operators working the packing line. No matter how fast machines are, if an operator isn’t sure which buttons to press during changeover, none of it matters.
At Pack Expo Las Vegas 2005, Pro Mach's expansive booth showcased the U-shaped line that offers case erecting, case loading, case labeling, palletizing, and stretch wrapping. This same machinery will be shipped and installed at Fleetguard\'s Nashville, TN, plant in December 2005.
A Kiwi ink-jet coder precedes the Wexxar case closing station. Later, cases ride an elevator to the overhead infeed of the palletizer. A Lantech stretch wrapper for completed pallets brings the line to a close.
Two cases are indexed into position and are pneumatically tilted away from the robot to facilitate loading. After the cases are half filled by the Wexxar machine, with 16-oz cartons, a corrugated divider is inserted before additional rows are loaded to complete the cases. The robot picks and places these cartons at a rate of 60/min.
