Norden Inc. has equipped its entire range of Generation 3 tube fillers and cartoners with PackML. PackML is a specification from the Open Modular Architecture Controls (OMAC) Packaging Workgroup for simplifying integration of packaging machinery on a network.
The Nordenmatic 500 tube filler from Norden (Branchburg, NJ) fills collapsible, 1- to 300-mL tubes measuring 50 to 150 mm in length and 10 to 50 mm in dia.
Norden’s (North Branch, NJ) Nordenmatic 850 fills 1 to 350 mL (0.03381 to 11.83 oz) of product into collapsible tubes at speeds to 85 tubes/min. The machine uses hot air to seal tubes, which can be 50 to 250 mm (1.97” to 9.85”) L and 10 to 50 mm (0.394” to 1.97”) in dia.
The Hype Tube from Norden (Branchburg, NJ) is a two-piece tube that uses an angled head with a flip cap for minimum product waste. The tube is made of PE and the closure is injection-molded of PP.
