Innovia Films

Innovia Films Ltd is a major producer of Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP) and Cellulose (NatureFlex™ & Cellophane™) Films with sites in Australia, Belgium, the UK and the USA. The company holds a leading global position in the markets for labels and security films, coated packaging, tobacco overwrap and renewable and compostable films.

Worldwide Innovia Films employs some 1,350 people, with a focus on high quality speciality products, strong customer relationships, R&D, and unsurpassed service.

Our films are sold to converters, brand-owners and end-users in over 100 countries across the globe. They are used by some of the world’s best known brands across a wide variety of everyday consumer goods. These include chocolates, perfume, cheese, teabags, shampoo, cigarettes, beer and biscuits.

We utilize a unique ‘bubble’ process for our BOPP films production. By adding coatings we are able to control a wide range of requirements including printability, sealability, stiffness, barrier, chemical resistance, machinability, optical qualities, anti-static, anti-mist and thermal and dimensional stability.

All our Cellulose films are produced from sustainable wood pulp harvested from managed plantations. They offer many unique attributes and can be supplied in a wide range of brilliant colors.

Our Cellophane™ brand is renowned across the world for its performance in speciality markets including twistwrapped confectionery, “breathable” packaging for baked goods, “live” yeast and cheese products. It is also used in technically challenging applications such as static free easy tear adhesive tapes, heat-resistant release liners and battery separators.

NatureFlex™ films are at the forefront of developments in compostable and sustainable packaging. These films are certified to American (ASTM D6400), European (EN13432) and Australian (AS4736) norms. In addition, the majority of grades have been certified by Vinçotte to the OK Compost Home standard. Further testing has proven that most NatureFlex™ grades are also suitable for anaerobic digestion.
